It is one exit to Legoland and less than 1/2 hour to the San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, or the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Disneyland is about an hour away. The house is fully furnished with all the cooking/eating utensils you would need. Beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, sand toys, bogey boards are at the house for you to use.
